While Chardonnays’ of Shot-Wente parentage tend to carry overwhelming honeysuckle qualities, this wine veers toward lemon-blossom, chalk & mineral. Newfound chose wood that could amplify purity and also handle the sites natural density. The palate, while energetic and lively, carries enough weight that will allow this bottling to age for fifteen years or more. Apple, buttercream, vanilla, shortbread.
