The blend is 65% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec; everything is done by hand, all naturally, and zero new oak is used in the aging – it's vinified in steel and two-year-old barrels, then aged for one year before bottling. The nose explodes with violets, boysenberry, juniper, rosemary, and sweet pipe tobacco. This is an intense, deep, dark wine that beautifully marries fruit intensity with structure.
