Antonio Galloni 92 Points Carmignano's Cabernet Sauvignon-based wine, is dense, rich and layered in style. Even so, the huge tannins and prominent French oak signatures of past years are happily absent. What comes through nicely is a rich, lush expression of fruit, mid-weight structure and plenty of near to medium-term appeal. The blend is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Syrah and 10% Merlot, but above all else, the Ghiaie della Furba tastes like a wine from Carmignano.
