Wine Advocate 87 points - There is no Rodger’s Creek Syrah in 2011 as it was declassified into the 2011 Syrah Sonoma Coast. Revealing lots of black cherry and black currant fruit intermixed with roasted herb, licorice and bacon characteristics, this medium to full-bodied, evolved 2011 should drink well for 4-5 years. (Antonio Galloni 94 Points) Ramey's 2011 Syrah is flat-out gorgeous. In this vintage, the Syrah includes the Rodgers Creek fruit, so it is more varietal than is typically the case. Savory herbs, dried flowers, black cherries and black pepper are some of the many notes that flow through to the finish. Quite simply, the 2011 is an extraordinary wine in its price range.
