Wine Spectator 91 points - (14.8% alcohol): Health red-ruby color. Cassis, licorice, coffee and a medicinal coolness on the varietally expressive nose, complemented by sexy oak tones. Pliant, concentrated dark berry and spice flavors are lifted by subtle menthol and mineral nuances. Suave and refined Cabernet with lovely sweet fruit and a long, ripely tannic finish. Less oaky than the 1694 bottlings and that’s fine with me. 91+ Points
Delicious, with ripe red currant, raspberry and plum fruit laced with a bright savory note. Everything courses through the alder-edged finish. Focused and energetic.
