(Barrel Tested 90-95 Points) The opening aroma has potent notes of vanilla extract, figs, and resin; aeration stimulates lighter scents of marzipan, caramel corn and Danish pastry. The palate entry offers rich, near-smoky flavors of cigar box, tobacco, and herbs; the midpalate stage is more focused and tobacco-like than the entry. Finishes bittersweet with a taste of dates/figs. Handsome, concentrated, baked.
