Full, lush tropical fruit dominates this wine’s aromas and flavors. Complex and heady on the palate, it is a premier example of Central Coast Chardonnay.
Wine Spectator 88 points - Shows touches of smoky, toasty oak amid a sleek core of citrus- and green apple-infused flavors, with zesty acidity keeping the elements vibrant. Drink now. 5,856 cases made. -JL (Nov 30 2015)
Antonio Galloni 89 Points - The 2013 Chardonnay Wolff Vineyard is quite powerful in this vintage. Succulent apricot pit, peach, almonds and chamomile laced together in a deep, resonant Chardonnay endowed with a real sense of phenolic weight. It will be interesting to see if a slightly reductive note dissipates over time. Even if it does, I expect the 2013 will remain an intense wine marked by the drought conditions and resulting small berries.
