This fresh and fruity white is perfect for easy drinking. Made from 60% Ugni Blanc and 40% Colombard, it has a floral nose with crisp green apple flavors. It hails from the Cotes de Gascogne in the southwest of France, also home to Cognac. (The main grape, Ugni Blanc, is also the main grape of Cognac.) Its tart citrus flavors and sharp acidity might overpower more delicate fare, but it's fine as a counterbalance to richer poultry or fish dishes.
