The opaque ruby/purple-colored 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee du Papet exhibits plenty of black raspberries, sweet, jammy cherries, full body, impressive purity and elegance, and a full, saturated, mouth-staining feel to it. This is a big wine, structured, but vibrant and loaded. Give it 2-3 years of bottle age and drink it over the following 15+ years. |
